Terms of Service

Handover Global is operated by [Company legal name, e.g. Handover Global Private Limited], [Registered office address, Guwahati, Assam, PIN] ("we", "us"). Handover Global is an online platform where property owners and our own team list homes and commercial spaces for rent or sale, and where people looking for a property can browse those listings and contact the lister.

We are a listing platform, not a broker or agent. We don't own, inspect as standard, rent out or sell the properties listed, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with a lister.

By creating an account or using Handover Global, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.

• You can browse without an account. Saving favourites, saving searches, sending inquiries, writing reviews, subscribing and listing a property need one.
• Give accurate details and keep them up to date. Verify your email address when asked.
• Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• One person per account. Don't create accounts for someone else or to get around a suspension.

Browsing, photos, prices, locality, specifications and reviews are free. A paid subscription unlocks the exact address, the contact name and the phone number on listings for as long as it is active.

• Prices, billing period and what's included are shown on the Pricing page before you pay. Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Your account, under Subscription; access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund and cancellation policy.
• Contact details are for your personal use in finding a property. Don't copy, collect, resell or publish them, and don't use them for marketing or to contact listers about anything other than their listing.

Any account holder can become a property owner on Handover Global. Listing is free. When you list a property, you confirm that:

• you own it, or you have the owner's permission to list it and to agree to these Terms for it;
• everything in the listing (description, price, photos, address and contact details) is accurate and current, and the property is actually available;
• you have the right to use the photos, and they show the actual property;
• the listing doesn't discriminate unlawfully against anyone and complies with the laws that apply to renting or selling it.

Before an owner can publish, we ask them to confirm their email address. Our team may review listings before or after they go live, ask for changes, or decline or remove a listing that breaks these Terms. Every listing shows whether it was listed by the property owner or by the Handover Global team.

You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize and share your listing content (including photos) on Handover Global and in promoting it, for as long as the listing is on the site and for a reasonable time after for backups and records.

When you send an inquiry, we pass your name, email, phone number (if you give it) and message to the lister. Any visit, negotiation, agreement, deposit or payment is between you and the lister.

Do your own checks before paying anything: visit the property, confirm the lister's identity and ownership, and read any agreement carefully. Never pay a deposit or "booking fee" for a property you haven't seen. If something seems wrong, report the listing and tell us.

• Only signed-in users can write reviews. Review only places and listers you have genuinely dealt with, and keep it honest and relevant.
• No abuse, personal information about others, advertising, or reviews written in exchange for payment or favours.
• We may remove reviews or reports that break these rules. We don't edit what you wrote.

• Post false, misleading, duplicate or fraudulent listings, or listings for properties you have no right to rent or sell.
• Scrape, crawl or copy listings or contact details in bulk, or use bots to access the site.
• Harass, threaten or spam listers or other users.
• Try to get around the subscription, security or rate limits, or access accounts or data that aren't yours.
• Upload malware or anything unlawful, or content that infringes someone else's rights.

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if we reasonably believe it breaks these Terms or the law, or puts other users at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you why. A subscription on an account closed for breaking these Terms is not refunded.

You can stop using Handover Global at any time. To close your account, contact us.

Listers are responsible for their listings. We check identities and review listings to reduce fraud, but we can't guarantee that every listing is accurate, available or lawful, or that every lister is who they say they are.

We provide Handover Global "as is" and don't promise it will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from dealings between users and listers. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited under Indian law.

We may update these Terms as the service changes. We'll change the date at the top, and tell account holders by email or on the site about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using Handover Global after that, the new Terms apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [City for jurisdiction, e.g. Guwahati, Assam] have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
